Please note that due to post COVID closure demand, our system is showing some unavailable slots. For more accurate booking during office hours, please call us. You can continue to use the service but please be aware we may have to call and reschedule in the event that your requested slot is double booked.

Online Appointments and Patient Portal

If this is your first visit to our office, please follow the steps below. If you are a returning patient, you can request or modify an existing appointment using the portal button below. This button can be used to book and check all appointments, your order statuses, and to reprint any receipts for your records. It also allows secure messaging with our office as we are committed to safeguarding your privacy.

    Click this icon to access the portal and click I want to register. Please use your email as your username. Your browser will ask for access to your location, otherwise please enter Calgary as your location, and then select our office. Proceed to book your appointment and we will email you to confirm!


    Once you have received email confirmation of your appointment, log into the portal using the link provided. Select Forms from the left margin and submit BOTH the demographic and medical information forms. Please read this Retinal Imaging Form first.


    If you would like us to directly submit to your insurance, please click this icon and submit our online form. There is a list of companies we can direct bill at the bottom of this page.


COVID-19 Protocols


In preparation for your visit, please note the following heightened infection control procedures. These are for everyone’s safety as we do our best to ensure your experience is efficient, safe, and enjoyable.

  1. New patients please complete the above forms online. Paper forms are being eliminated for better infection control. If you are unable to complete the above, please call our office so we can take more information over the phone.
  2. You are required to wear a mask to your visit. Please bring your own if possible so we can conserve our supply.
  3. You will be asked some screening questions at the time of your visit. If you know you will answer yes to any of these questions in advance of your visit, please reschedule your appointment.
    1. Have you traveled outside of Canada or to a current hot-zone in the last 14 days, been diagnosed with COVID-19, or been in contact with a known or suspected COVID-19 case.
    2. Do you currently have respiratory or flu-like symptoms, sore throat, cough? Any loss of sensation in smell or taste?
  4. When you arrive, please wait outside or in your car if you are more than 10 minutes early. We will be limiting access to our clinic to facilitate proper distancing. Please leave unnecessary items at home or in your car.
  5. Please come alone or with 1 guest maximum. Children will not be permitted unsupervised.
  6. We will have our doors locked and a staff member will greet you at the door to brief you on infection protocols during your visit. This will also include a non-contact temperature check. After your hands are sanitized/washed, we ask that you refrain from touching anything not required for your care.
  7. Cell phone use is permitted only for emergencies, provided you do not touch any office surfaces until your hands are rewashed.
  8. Please follow the directions given by our staff. They are well trained in infection control and are acting only out of your best interests. To see more about how we are keeping you safe, watch the video on our office page.

Important Appointment information

Please note there is a $50 fee for missed appointments. Please use the portal or contact us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. Thank you for your understanding of the resources necessary to prepare for your visit and the consideration of others who could have been seen sooner.

Please bring your contact lens boxes/packaging and all eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses to your visit. New patients for a comprehensive exam should allow at least 1 hour for the appointment. This gives you sufficient time for getting any required imaging, contact lens assessment and/or choosing eyewear. Directions and parking information can be found here.

Children and Seniors eye exams are fully covered by Alberta Health Care. Coverage of up to $230 towards eyewear is also available for seniors on limited income. Coverage for all ages is provided by Alberta Health for medically necessary visits such as eye infections, diabetic retinal exams, glaucoma testing and select others.

Routine examinations and eyeglass prescriptions are not covered by Alberta Health for ages 19-64, however, we can pre-authorize or direct bill many third-party insurance plans on your behalf.
